OPAS Performing Arts Scholarship Deadline

The Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) continues to accept applications for its 2026 College Performing Arts Scholarships, with a submission deadline of April 30, 2026.
The OPAS scholarship program provides financial assistance to students pursuing higher education in the performing arts, helping to offset the rising cost of college while supporting continued artistic development.
In addition to qualified High School students, this opportunity includes existing college scholarships for those who are seeking additional support to continue their studies in the performing arts.
“These scholarships are an investment not only in individual students, but in the cultural vitality of our entire community,” said OPAS Artistic Director Doug LaBrecque. “When we support young artists, we strengthen the future of the performing arts for everyone.”
Applicants are evaluated based on a combination of academic achievement, artistic merit, performance experience, community involvement, and a demonstrated commitment to a performing arts-related major.
“OPAS is committed to investing in the next generation of artists,” said Kim Chronos, OPAS Arts Education Committee Chair. “Through this scholarship program, we aim to ease financial barriers while empowering students to pursue their passion for the performing arts.”
OPAS has awarded numerous college scholarships and continues to expand its impact through arts education and student support initiatives. OPAS will announce their 2026 scholarship recipients on May 23rd during their annual Memorial Day Weekend Concert, a signature Lake Country event to kick off summer!
