If you are 70 1/2 or older you can make gifts directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to OPAS without paying federal income tax on the withdrawal.

OPAS is a nonprofit organization and all contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law. Since the actual cost of performance tickets, any private dinners or trips (travel, accommodations, dining, transfers, and taxes) will be paid by you at the time of receipt, your contribution is not reduced by these costs.
