The 2009 VILLAGE Holiday Fair at Lake Oconee Village was

a fun family oriented event that had a little something for

everyone. For all those who were looking to get a head

start on their holiday shopping there were dozens of

vendors present and ready to help by suggesting the

perfect present for that special someone on your list.

Santa and Mrs. Claus were on site to entertain children

with story time and festive sing-along’s as well as posing

for pictures. The Redeemer Episcopal Children’s Chorus

wowed the audience once again with their energetic

performance of classic Holiday favorites.


The weather was perfect as the walkers, runners, and joggers took off down Market

Street to compete in the 2nd Annual Jingle Bell Run. Congratulations to Eric John of

Covington, Ga. who took first place by completing the run in 18 minutes and 31 seconds.

As the last order of business for the day Stuart and Remi Baker did the honors of drawing

the winner of The Village Series Raffle. Congratulations to Michael and Bette Lefkove who

were the lucky winners of a brand new SeaDoo GTI.
