VILLAGE Concert - The Waybacks
Lake Oconee Village
At the corner of Hwy 44 & Linger Longer Road
In the Parkside District

Friday July 24, 2009 - 8pm

The VILLAGE Concert featuring The Waybacks on July 24th packed the Village

Meadow lawn with
excited fans eagerly awaiting the bands performance. The

weather was perfect
and local vendors appeased the large crowd by providing

delectable food and refreshing drinks tothe estimated thousand
people that helped

to make the second VILLAGE Series event a huge success.

As the sun went down the music got hotter as children and adults

alike danced
to the catchy ‘Americana’ tunes of the Waybacks with

James Nash performing
lead vocals, Chuck Hamilton on drums,

bassplayer Joe Kyle Jr., and fiddler and
mandolinist Warren Hood.

As toes tapped and the stars appeared the evening
flew by until it

was time for the Waybacks to take a bow. We knew it was a
success when the

crowd stood up and chanted ‘We want more!’ and of course
the ever gracious

Waybacks were more than happy to oblige.

Congratulations to Fred Brady whose name was

drawn from the ticket tumbler and announced as

the winner of the VILLAGE Concert raffle ticket

drawing  for an original framed painting by

Shannon Candler valued at $300. Another

lucky winner took home a one year

Concierge Level Membership from Spotlight Theatres, also valued at $300.
