Sandy Creek Barn
Greensboro, GA 30642

Built in 1820 by Gideon Widemire and 2 sons, Sandy Creek Barn was originally known as the Shaw Barn.  Widemire spent several years collecting timbers from all over the state of Pennsylvania to build the large dairy barn.

Found in 2005, the barn was transported to Georgia and reconstructed on its present site overlooking a 44 acre pond.  This privately owned barn served as the venue for OPAS's December 2007 production of Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and The Night Visitors.

The Plaza Arts Center
Eatonton, GA 31024

The Eatonton-Putnam Arts Foundation, Inc. (EPAF) was established to renovate the Old Eatonton School, built in 1916, for use as a community arts center.  In 1998-99 a beautiful Plaza in front of the building was designed and constructed, and it has become a center for spring, summer, and fall activities.

In 1999 an auditorium committee was formed to plan for what would become the central focus of the arts center, and in spring 2008, after many years of diligent work by the EPAF Board of Directors, under the leadership of Tom Rosseter, a magnificent new auditorium and community center was opened. Since then, The Plaza Arts Center has become a focal point for performances and community events throughout the Lake Oconee area.
